Wrinkle Reduction

Quick fix to reduce lines, wrinkle and smaller face!

Every time you smile, frown or raise your eyebrow, your facial muscles contract and create creases on your skin. With repetitive contraction, these creases become deeper over time, leaving lines and wrinkles on your skin that linger even when your facial muscles are at rest.

  • What is Botulinum toxin

Botulinum toxin is a protein produced by a bacterium called clostridium botulinum. Botulinum toxins block the signals from the nerves to the muscles, which causes the muscles to relax temporarily. It have been used in aesthetic medicine to reduce the appearance of undesired expression lines.

  • How does it work?

When botulinum toxin is injected into the facial muscles, however, the toxin temporarily blocks these signals from reaching the muscles, thus preventing them from contracting. This allows dynamic wrinkles or expression lines to diminish and smooth out. By relaxing facial muscles, it can also help prevent the formation of more permanent wrinkles.

  • What about jaw slimming?

Jaw slimming also known as the V-face look is very popular among woman as having a smaller and define jaw line will look more attractive and feminine. On the other hand, bulky or square-looking jaw indicates masculinity and strength.

  • How is botox jaw reduction performed?

It is done by injecting botox units to relax the masseters muscles. Using an insulin needle, just 1-3 tiny injection are injected for each muscle. It takes six weeks to visually observe shrinkage (atrophy) of the masseter muscles after Botox injection.

  • How long will the effect last?

Botox typically lasts between 3-6 months for most patients, and regular treatments for jaw slimming can lead to better and longer lasting results as the muscles become less active and smaller in size.

  • What are the common sides effects?

Tiny needle marks and occasional bruising may happen, but it is usually rare. Unless injected into or too close to the wrong muscles, this can occasionally lead to an eyelid droop. Thus, it is important to have botox procedures done only by a qualified medical doctor. In any case, if it happens, the result will not be permanent as the effect of the botox will wear off slowly over the next couple of months.
