• What are hyaluronic acid fillers or dermal fillers?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are widely used in aesthetic medicine to replace volume loss in the cheek, enhance facial features, correct facial asymmetry and restore youthfulness. The collagen stimulating effect of dermal fillers can be used to improve skin hydration and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. • Achieve a higher nose bridge and increase lip volume
    • Enhance chin and jawline definition
    • Improve skin hydration, pores and dull skin
  • What happens during consultation?

  • What is done during the treatment?

Topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment areas prior to the fillers injection to minimize discomfort. Appropriate amount of approved fillers are injected into the skin and subcutaneous tissues to achieve desired results. Safe technique, appropriate fillers, optimal amount of fillers and precise injection area are the key points for good clinical outcome. The whole process takes 10~20 minutes and it is well-tolerated by patients.

  • Is there downtime for face fillers?

To ensure the good safety practices, Dr Lim MY uses only HSA approved fillers in his aesthetic clinic. Injection related side effects at the injected area such as redness, slight swelling or itching will go away within 7-14 days.

  • How long can dermal fillers last?

Depending on the filler brand, product viscosity, treatment areas and pre-treatment condition, the longevity of fillers varies according to individual and their lifestyle. Generally, the result can last between 9 to 24 months. Dermal fillers are not permanent and will break down by our body immune system over time, so follow up treatment may be required to maintain the good results.

What are the signs of ageing and how dermal fillers can help to reverse it?

As we age, our skin, fats, muscles and bones go through a different rate of degenerative changes. Saggy jowls, nasolabial folds, wrinkles, eyebags, retruded chin, flat cheeks and sunken temples are amongst the most common complaints. These are structural changes that are inevitable with ageing.
