LDM-MED (Local Dynamic Massage)

  • What is LDM (Local Dynamic Massage)?

LDM is a technology that utilises dual-frequency ultrasound waves to modulate the structure of the connective tissue in your face and body. It can modulate the content of HA (hyaluronan) within your skin, changing its elasticity and strength.

At MY Medical Aesthetics, we believe in combination treatments in order to bring out the best results for each of our treatment procedures. Hence, LDM is generally used in conjuncture with a variety of our other treatments.

  • What are some of the benefits of LDM?

Some benefits of the LDM treatment include:

    • Healing from prior treatments
    • Hydration
    • Reducing swelling and redness
  • How does LDM work?

LDM utilises dual-frequency ultrasound waves, combining different frequencies and alternating between them up to 500 times per second. These hybrid waves produce special pressure gradients in the tissue, activating fibroblasts which can lead to a significant improvement in skin structure.

  • What is the process of getting an LDM treatment like?

At MY Medical Aesthetics, LDM treatment is usually paired with another treatment in order to bring out the best effects. These treatments can range from fillers to face-lifts. The doctor will target areas of your face and body you’ve received treatment on in order to enhance the look of the skin there post-surgery.

No anaesthesia or numbing cream will be needed for this procedure. You will feel a warm tingling sensation around the areas being treated, but no pain.

  • How long does this treatment take?

A single session of LDM takes anywhere between 10-15 minutes.

  • Are there any side effects? What is the downtime like?

There aren’t any negative side effects associated with LDM. There is no downtime and you will be able to return to your regular routine immediately after.

  • What kind of results can I expect?

Improvement in the skin is generally seen after the first session. In general, LDM will be able to help your skin hydration and recovery from prior surgeries.
